Tennent Report
January 31, 2008

Last night there was some bad news, some good news and some really good news. First the bad news. Last night the loyal North fans had to say farewell to Jack Callender, Pat Donohue, Andy Duchseneau, Oliver Hertzel, Dan Staley and Jake VanderWyck, North's senior wrestlers. As each was introduced,  memories of watching them  wrestle over the last three or four years  and realizing this would be the last time they will  wrestle at the Rock made saying good-bye very difficult. But watching them develop, over those years, into the fine young men they are today, and knowing their futures will be bright, made things much easier. We will miss each and every one of you and the excitement you brought to Council Rock North Wrestling.  Good Luck in the future and  may you find the success in life that you deserve.

The good news, the Indians put a hurtin on the Panthers. All but for a 9-8 and 5-0 decision that went to the Panthers, the North squad dominated Tennent. Winning by way of pins were; (103) Shane Longstreth, (112) Jake VanderWyck, (140) Doug Rheiner, (171) Jamie Callender, (189) John Kaschak and (215) Jack Callender. Adding bonus points by way of a tech fall was; (152) Dan Staley. Major decisions went to; (119) Zac Haynes and (135) Oliver Hertzel and winning by decision were; (125) Brian Murray and (285) Andy Duchseneau. That all adds up to a final score of North 59 Tennent 6.

The really good news, the for Jack Callender with a Twenty-Six Second Pin of the Panther's highly regarded Rick Dracup. What a time to reach that goal, on Senior Night, in front of a packed house and  at home. It doesn't get any better than that. That hundreth win puts Jack twelfth on the all time win list at CRN. He still has a lot of wrestling to do and he will surely add to his 100 - 42 record and move up the list before thing are done.
